Student Visa Information

Student visa for Australia allows international students to study full-time at recognized educational institutions in the country. It requires meeting eligibility criteria, including English proficiency and financial capacity. Requirements for a Student Visa Application

  • A Letter of Offer from Global Training Academy Pty Ltd
  • An Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) form from HA and CAAW* (if applicable)
  • A medical check-up (required by the Australian Immigration and border protection (DIBP))
  • Proof of financial support (required by DIBP)
  • Satisfactory English language proficiency (e.g. IELTS)
  • Proof of Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) (required by DIBP)

How to Apply for a Student Visa

If you intend to study in Australia:

  • You will need to apply for a student visa.
  • You must enroll for full-time study.
  • You must also pay compulsory medical insurance (OSHC)
  • Send your completed enrolment form to Global Training Academy
  • AIC will send you an invoice for fees.
  • Pay HA the amount indicated on the invoice.
  • When HA receives your payment, we will issue an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment form (eCoE) necessary for student visa processing.
  • A copy of the ECOE form will be transmitted through the Internet to the embassy.
  • A copy can be faxed/e-mailed to you to present to the embassy for completion of student visa processing.

Visa Conditions for Student Visa Holders

Student Visa conditions and regulations as determined by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) state that you must:

  • Study full-time while in Australia
  • Satisfy course requirements by
    • maintaining a minimum of 80% of all scheduled class attendance and
    • achieving a record of satisfactory academic performance
  • Work no more than 40 hours a fortnight while the course is in session
  • Maintain Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) during your entire stay in Australia
  • Inform DIBP if you change your student status
  • Inform DIBP if you withdraw from the course that you are enrolled in
  • Extend your student visa before it expires
  • Inform DIBP and the college if you change the address
